It's About You...

Steady thinking. Practical progress. Calm guidance.

Welcome to The Office of Problem Solving, where complex business challenges are met with clarity, care, and solutions that stick.

I’m Ruth - a hands-on consultant who helps small and medium-sized businesses overcome obstacles and implement effective solutions to move forward and achieve lasting growth.

With over 25 years of experience spanning finance, operations, analysis, leadership, and change, I specialise in making sense of exhausting, complicated, or uncertain situations.

I bring practical problem-solving, clear analysis, people-aligned change, and steady support that strengthens both your business and your team.

How I work
My approach is shaped entirely around what you need.
Every business and every person within it is unique. I work quietly and closely to understand what’s really going on within the challenges, the numbers, the systems, and the people. From there, I bring order, insight, and calm progress to even the messiest of problems.

When you work with me, you get:
-
Clear thinking in complex situations.
-
Calm, professional, steady guidance (not noisy, weightless opinions).
-
A grounded approach tailored to your business, your people, and your pace.
Whether the task is unpicking a financial issue, guiding cultural change, analysing business needs, mentoring developing leaders, or keeping your day-to-day operations running smoothly, I’m here as a guide, a sounding board, a second pair of eyes and ears, as a partner. Not a faceless service.

What I bring
Over the years, I’ve:
-
Brought structure and control to previously disorganised financial systems.
-
Restarted stalled or abandoned projects and seen them through to success.
-
Supported cultural change with empathy and structure.
-
Helped leadership teams move from confusion to clarity.
-
Delivered ongoing financial and operational support that businesses can trust.
My background includes:
-
25+ years in end-to-end financial management.
-
10+ years in senior management roles, leading operations, analysis, and business transformation.
-
Globally recognised certifications and training in change management, coaching and mentoring, project delivery, and business analysis.
Why I love the work I do!
My professional experience is only one part of what I bring to the table.

Like many of the business owners I work with, I know what it’s like to carry the weight of responsibility. To juggle multiple priorities, wear too many hats, and keep pushing forward even when things feel overwhelming.
Throughout my career, I’ve seen too many burnt-out leaders trying to do it all, often without a leadership team around them, and sacrificing more than anyone realises just to keep the wheels turning.

It's this understanding that shapes how I work with clients and why I do things differently to most consultants.
Fixing the problems is one part, but supporting the people behind the business is the rest. My aim is to bring peace to the chaos, and to be the supportive shoulder to lean on when it's needed the most.

A bit about me
My own personal growth has also played a huge role in how I show up professionally.
I’ve worked with incredible mentors including Kim Calvert (Dynamite Lifestyle), Sháá Wasmund MBE, and Doug Dane (formerly of Bob Proctor’s team), all of whom have helped shape my mindset and approach.

Today, I live by daily practices of personal gratitude, meditation, and lifelong learning, all of which help me stay grounded, connected, and continually evolving.

Outside of work, I find creativity and calm in furniture restoration, quiet writing, yoga, and being outside with a good book. I believe transformation isn’t just for businesses, it’s for people too. And we all have our own version of progress to make.

Let’s talk
If your business feels stuck, stretched, or uncertain, or if you're simply ready for some reliable, thoughtful support - let’s talk. I offer a complimentary, no-obligation call or meeting to see how we can work together.
Let’s make sense of what’s happening - and solve it, simply.
